Right and you know this because you were bros with Steve Jobs in college right? lol

I guess the typos and errors are from the drugs back in the day ;)

Why do I have this feeling that no matter what Apple releases in it's Powermac line (or MacPro w/e) the majority of the people will be disappointed? at least on this forum anyways

Because ever since 2003 everyone has never been satisfied with any powermac's..I think it is because everyone keeps reading rumors of such high spec systems and when the real system comes out people were hoping for something out of this world....

those would be quite some powermacs!

no way we'll see blu-ray drives by september, and probably not for quite a while after that.

hopefully we'll see a price cut on the current G5 powermacs before these intel powermacs come out because that's going to be a really long life for the current line by september.

It will be more so now that the switched to Intel. I think the last two years is because there was no 3GHZ G5 after it was promised. Now it's because processor wise, Apple will not have something that no one else has. Their design including the quality of their parts is what will stand them out.

The recently demoed Conroes (Intel's next desktop processor) had it running at 2.66 GHz. Your numbers are unrealistic, unless they put Woodcrest in the new PMs, which I believe was shown running at 3 GHz... But Woodcrest is a server processor (think Xserve)... Even then, these are Intel demos which typically show off the higher end stuff. What I'm trying to say is that I think you are wrong. :)
