Hello, I am coming to Mac OS after being a Linux user for the past 12 years. I so far love the polish of everything and how smooth and well integrated everything is. The one thing bugging me is that I can't figure out a way to make the dock intelligently hide when a window covers it. This has been something standard in the majority of docks out there yet somehow isn't a feature in an OS where they seemingly thought of most everything else. If anyone knows how I might achieve this please let me know. I could only come up with dockintellihide.app which appears to be an abandoned project. Sorry for the rant, I am otherwise loving my Mac and my new iPhone 7 plus.

Welcome to the forum. The only way I know how is to have the dock hidden at all times except when you hover over it with the pointer.
