intellimouse is impossible to uninstall

I've been using a wireless intellimouse 2.0 w/my powermac w/osx for a few weeks. I decided to install the software (intellimouse 5.1) so that I could use the side buttons. I had o reboot for the install to take affect. My computer took over a minute to start up, dashboard freezes, and the dock freezes. I dragged the application to the trash. Surprise!!! that doesn't uninstall it. I'm still having the problems. Does anybody know how to get this crap off of my computer?

found the uninstaller w/quicksilver. I think I rebooted over 5 times between the install and uninstall. I hate microsoft.

What is quicksilver? I have the intellimouse software installed also so I'd like to know how to remove it if I ever need to. Thanks.
