So, i installed Intelliscreen and was getting the hack for it as well thru Cydia. I thought it was just a patch, but once i accessed the package in Cydia, it said it was now a full overwrite and not just a patch. I'm thinking, "Sweet" and just downloaded it without completely reading the packages and repositories and making sure that was exactly what i needed to download. Long story short, Rock Extensions was crashing the crap outta my springboard and i couldn't even disable Rock Extensions because the springboard would crash every 10 seconds. So here I am, restoring my iPhone, losing my qTweeter, SBS Settings, Winterboard, and other miscellaneous jailbroken features that i've come to enjoy over the last 2 weeks, mad at myself because i didn't truly need Intelliscreen, just wanted it, and mad that i knew exactly what was crashing my springboard (can't remember the file verbatim but i could of SSH the phone, removed that file, then removed the intelliscreen altogether and just been done with it), but alas, due to me being overly eager, I'm now back to an unjailbroken iPhone. Oh well, could of been a lot worse, I presume. It's just going to take another afternoon to get it all back, and i have class in 2 hours.

Just wondering, did anyone run into this problem with Rock Extensions crashing the springboard without mercy?

First of all, Intelliscreen is such a POS that it isn't even worth hacking.

Second of all, don't use Icy. Don't even install it if you re-jailbreak.

Lastly, don't use ANYTHING by RiPDev. That Rock Your Phone crap is garbage...stick to Cydia, and stick to trusted apps. Check out the thread here on LockScreen Info, which is a free and MUCH better alternative to Intelliscreen.

Thanks for the tips. I read a thread on LockScreen Info and should of went with that instead. I guess you live and you learn, right? The only way to know exactly what's good and what's not is to make mistakes sometimes. Thank God for backups!

You don't have a clue about Intelliscreen or, as your signature shows, anything else.

Love the personal insults. And I don't have a clue about Intelliscreen? And you know this how? Lol, way to assume (we know what assuming makes people out to look like). Don't really think I need to say much more...your comment speak volumes about your character (or perhaps a lack thereof). But if it helps you to sleep at night, then by all means...keep pouring it on. Thank God i am not you.

My thoughts exactly.

I highly doubt it. You probably just couldn't think of anything better to say. After all, you would have already initially stated the above when you first chose to use personal insults against me. But okay. Maybe you should try reading up on Intelliscreen and all the problems it causes (Saurik himself calls the app a "buggy monstrosity of doom," but of course the creator of Cydia + MobileSubstrate's words mean nothing and are totally irrelevant here, right?) instead of attacking someone for having an opinion and assuming that they "know nothing." There goes your lack-of-character issue again...

I have given up on rock your phone apps. they used to be OK the mail notifier work great and several others. some updates later and the mail notifier would slow down my iphone like crazy and I gave up on it after I bought the apps.

Is this the new update for Intelliscreen that caused you havoc OP? I have Intelliscreen and I LOVE it! Its perfect for me. I dont have to open my calendar constantly to find out what my schedule is...I just have to look at the phone. Even though it also installs the Rock App, I just hide it with BossPrefs and I'm good, so it doesnt bother me.

I havent updated yet even though Cydia is telling me there is an update because I was worried what it would do. Everything is working fine now and I dont want to or have the time to fix or restore if something goes wrong, so for now, Im not updating. I never understood why people put down the app though...its mighty useful for many people.
