Hey,
i'm currently looking to invest into a mac that will perform well at all sorts of CPU intensive tasks that i can throw at it - namely photoshop editing, video editing, and especially video encoding 1080p Raw footage from my DSLR with handbrake.
what i'm unsure about, is how well the older Mac Pro's stack up against 2011 - 2014 Mac Mini's and iMacs?
i'm reading that the Mac Mini's and iMac's are catching up inperformance or even out performing them -
but i'm interested in a machine that will perform like a truck and run cooler and quieter and more effectively under load.
i'm positive the 2008 - 2010 mac pro's are better in this way than the imac's and mac minis, but i am curious to know - are mac mini's and iMac's i7/i5 processors faster?
what kind of differences an i expect in performance?
i want to buy a used 2009/2010 MacPro.
