I don't think this has been mentioned before - so if it has - please excuse me.

But I had my apple headphones on today and went into video recording app only to discover that you can control stop/start of the video function by clicking once on the mic/control.

I'm not saying it's uber-handy.. but it's nice to know that if you have your headset on or wanted to use it as a "remote" record on/off button - you can.
 
Hmm, how come we can control the video recording but can't take pictures? I just tried it and it started to play music instead.
 
I'm guessing because video uses audio - pictures do not. So you can be listening to music and taking pictures - but it doesn't make sense to listen to music AND record video...

unless you wanted to video yourself listening to the phone playing music.

I notice this when I first got my 3GS back in June, I pressed it by accident and thought to myself "oh, this is cool." but I was on my break at work and quickly forgot about it.
