Maybe Mac Pro grade SoC might have HBM2e or HBM3 for better performance?

Thoughts?

Didn't Intel announce it like a half a year ago? And didn't we discuss Apple using HBM in Mac Pro a while ago? I don't understand why it would be better performance though. LPDDR5 at the same bus with has better performance. The problem is space (HBM is more compact, but also has lower capacity).

My ideal unified memory system would be HBM or GDDR (like the PS5 or XBox One X) and not DDR.

Why? HBM has lower total capacity potential than the solution Apple uses now. GDDR runs way too hot and the latency is bad. For laptops, Apple's solution is superior. For high-end desktops, we'll see what they will come up with.
