I did a quick test to see what is triggering the iPad not charging issue. I used my 2009 Macbook Unibody. OS is Snow Leopard and I used the newest VMWare Fusion to test on each OS.
Test 1: iPad connected to Macbook running SL = Charging
Test 2: iPad connected to Macbook running SL, USB connected to Ubuntu 10.04 guest Image = No Charge
Test 3: iPad connected to MB running SL, USB connected to Windows 7 Guest Image = No Charge
Test 4: iPad disconnected from VMWare guest OS's back to SL = Charging
From what this sounds like, the charging issue is not a wattage program but is locked to the OS. Anyone else had any other results?
