I went into the Apple Store today. Very bussy at noon on a Wednesday.
First:
I was looking at the MBPs and was seeing how long some simple apps took to open. I checked the computers, they all had 1 or 1.5 gigs of RAM. I asked the guy if they had any display models that were identical to the lower-end 15 inch MBP, with 512MB RAM. He said no and at tha point I think he wanted to stop talking to me, he started to ask other people if they needed help.
Second:
I saw a desktop model and the sign behind it and the placard nest to it said PowerMac G5. I thought to myself, "Wow, they are still selling it." Then I noticed that it had two optical bays and checked it out, it was the new MacPro. Were they trying to hide it. I saw a guy talking to a customer about it and was reading off the placard about it. I was just shoked. They had a trud PowerMac G5 farther in the back of the store. If I came in and someone sold me one of those without telling about the new one I would be PISSED.
