if samsung doesn't improve touchwiz and move to more premium material for their phones it will take no time for HTC, Sony, LG, etc. to destroy samsung's dominance.

So now we've gone from Apple is doomed to Samsung is doomed.

Apple + HTC + Sony + LG COMBINED still doesnt match smartphone global marketshare with Samsung right now. Samsung owns like over 30% globally. Apple is a far 2nd at 13% and LG (3rd place ), Sony, and HTC are fighting for table scraps with multiple Chinese vendors and over-the-hill smartphone champs like Nokia and BlackBerry at anywhere between 3-5% per marketshare each.if samsung doesn't improve touchwiz and move to more premium material for their phones it will take no time for HTC, Sony, LG, etc. to destroy samsung's dominance.
Before they're done, I hope Samsung can make it long enough to get me a Galaxy Note 3
I'm fairly sure they ought to be able to keep the shop doors open just long enough to turn out that one last Galaxy Note 3 for you.

HTC is not even Top 10 anymore. Sad to see one of Android pioneers that first helped the platform take its early steps with the HTC Dream & Passion (aka G1 & Nexus One) fall out of the Top 10 globally even if it is a distant #3 in the US, but that's life.
Sales and shipments may not mean squat without actually making a profit but Samsung is winning that too.
Apple loses most profitable smartphone vendor title to Samsung

Good luck with that. HTC, LG, Sony don't hold a handle to Samsung.
None of the other OEM's have managed to come anywhere near the place Samsung are at now. Even during their peak HTC were never this big. In the smartphone business the big boys are Apple and Samsung. The others haven't stepped up to the plate.
Just lol.
So now we've gone from Apple is doomed to Samsung is doomed.
Nah, something tells me they'll be alright.
Good luck with that theory.
Samsung simply makes the best flagship android phone hands down.
What i wanna know is who are the avid runners that actually use a tablet while running???
I can't stand touchwiz. I really liked the feel of the Galaxy S2, but after that i did not like the way Samsung made their flagship phone out of plastic. I like how Htc makes their phones but again, their Sense skin is horrible.
I wish Sony and Lg would step up their game.
Yes.but dont you think that samsung should refresh touchwiz and move to premium materials?
Its based on marketing. Almost anyone can name a Samsung or Apple phone because they are way more heavily marketed than Moto/HTC/Sony. Thats where Apple and Samsung get their huge marketshare... not necessarily because they have the best phones
Exactly
Samsung sells better than HTC, LG, Sony, etc because they can afford to put more into advertising and marketing. That's all
It makes me laugh that people actually think Samsung is blowing away the competition from a technical or usability aspect just because of the sales numbers
