I am having a hard time with Interface Builder...actually I only have one problem and that is I have some UILabels that I want to be a certain size. The problem is there seems to be only an auto resize which I don't want. If I turn that off then I can't change the size at all. All I want is some labels that are slightly larger than the normal ones, and do not change when the strings inside them become longer.

Couldn't they just have a font size option?

As far as I know you have to change it using code..yeah, sometimes it's a pain in the butt. Turn off auto-size and change the fontsize in code.

Select the label and use the items in the Font menu. If you shoose Show Fonts you can set the font and size.
