I run two headless 2011 Mac Minis - one wireless and one wired. The wired one is predominantly my Plex Server and has a couple of Firewire drives attached and a couple of USB2 drives, the wireless one I use in a bedroom pretty much just running the client version of Plex.
They are both the lowest spec Minis but with 8GB Ram and now running ML.
Ever since I've had them the wired machine regularly (every few days but sometimes it will last a week) drops it's network connection and I can no longer get onto it remotely either via Screen Sharing, LogMeIn or Apple Remote Desktop. As there is no screen attached to it this is a major pain and means that I have to power off and on to get the Mini working again.
If I do attach a screen to it (which is also a pain due to its location) I see that the machine has not crashed and I can access all the local services just not anything across the network.
Both of my Minis are almost identical in the config - they are both running Chronosync regularly and also Super Duper (same versions on both) and they are both fully uptodate with OS updates etc. However the wireless one seems to work fine and does not have this problem.
Having done some extensive searching across the web it does appear that this may not be an isolated problem that is just occurring on my machine however I am struggling to find out exactly what is going wrong and how to resolve.
I would welcome any suggestions......
