Hi!

My iMac came back recently from the lab after his 2nd screen replacement.
All in all i was without my device for almost 2 Months.

Due the "lovely" COVID-19 Lockdown i started using Video apps.
Unfortunately, when trying to connect and speak for the first time saw no bars moving in the "sound" menu in system prefs. tried every single troubleshooting there is online about a bad mic problem - no success that led me to the thought that something got disconnected with these repairs
I'm really Exhausted with taking my device back and forth to the lab and being without it for 15 days and more
though about trying to reconnect it myself at home, any ideas how? maybe a manual at iFIxit?

just muddling with the thought.. nothing more

My advice (and my opinion only):
DO NOT attempt this job.
If you were not confident about opening/replacing the screen yourself, do you feel competent that you could pull everything apart and get it back together again now...?

Easier and SAFER solution:
Get an external USB mic and use that instead.
The sound quality will probably be much better anyway!

It's true. I am a tinkerer at heart. So I assume everyone else is too!
