Hey, I'm running a new Macbook pro 15 in - 2.8 Duo with 9600 gt. Bootcamp with Windows 7 build 7100.

My internal mic works in other applications, but for some reason, when I try to play Steam games, it doesn't pic up any audio coming through it.

Tried +voice_forcemicrecord 0 in the Steam startup options.

I have only installed drivers from the OSX DVD and one from Nvidia for the graphics card. Any ideas why this is happening? Other folks seem to be able to get their internal mics to work with Steam.

I'm not sure how the built in mic works, but check the steam settings... I've seen it work in games for some but not in the actual steam chat, also check your input levels for the audio to see if mic isn't muted

I have exactly the same problem as you, very frustrating. I even tried to install Windows 7 RC but it didn't help.

Skype and all other applications work very fine, but not Steam. Have you tried posting it in the Steam-Forum already?
