Hey!
I am going to the states in a couple of weeks, and I am looking to buy a macbook there. Will the macbook work over here in the UK? Also what will be different?

You will need either an official Apple UK plug or a figure of 8 cable to convert the power supply.

Other than that you'll have a US keyboard (the location of some symbols is differant and iric it does not have a £ on it).

ei good thing i saw this... i'm in dubai, uae, using an ibook. but my friend who'll be in the US within the month is getting the macbook for me. is there anything that i need that's not included in the box? like a power adpator or something?

The power adaptor supplied is universal so it should work anywhere in the world (in terms of voltage and AC frequency) you just need to convert the plug. You can either buy a worldwide set of plugs from Apple or use a standard figure of 8 cable as I said above.

Other than that more RAM might be a good idea and maybe a nice case to carry it in?
