- O365 is my single source of truth for contacts and all edits are made there
- Internet accounts sync to O365 has been working just fine for a year and Contacts app on my Mac shows everything correctly
- Did the same internet accounts sync configuration to Google to push contacts unto google and check box is next to Contacts but contacts.google.com not showing anything after a day

How should I troubleshoot?

Thanks

It doesn't work this way...
If you connect an O365 account, it will show your O365 contacts in the Contacts app.
If you connect a Google account, it will show your Google contacts in the Contacts app.

The contacts still "live" in exactly one place (in your case, the O365 account). macOS will push up changes that you make to your contacts, but it will not try to keep contacts between two different accounts in sync. (Makes sense, some people would have separate address books for their "work" and "personal" email accounts for example.) Furthermore, if you were to remove your O365 account from the list of accounts, the O365 contacts stored there will also disappear from the Contacts app.

Hello everyone,

I recently encountered the same issue discussed in this thread—Google Contacts not syncing properly with the macOS Contacts app via Internet Accounts. This was particularly problematic for our team at QueComparo.es, as we rely on our Google Workspace account for managing contacts across devices.

After trying various standard troubleshooting steps without success, I discovered a workaround that resolved the issue:

  1. Enable "Notes" Sync for the Google Account:
    • Navigate to System Preferences > Internet Accounts.
    • Select your Google account.
    • Ensure that "Notes" is checked alongside "Contacts".
  2. Create a New Note in the Notes App:
    • Open the Notes app.
    • Under the Google section in the sidebar, create a new note (it can be empty).

This action seems to prompt macOS to initiate the sync process for the Google account, resulting in the contacts appearing in the Contacts app.

This solution was effective for our company quecomparo.es, and I hope it helps others facing the same issue.
