I need to find a way to connect my hp notebook to my router, to be able to share the connection. Problem is, the notebook's home is in another room, and I don't have a wireless card for it. So, maybe I can get by with connecting it to the ethernet port of my iBook,which is in the same room, and my iBook being connected to the router wirelessly. How do I set this up?

As far as I know, it can't be done. As I get your post, you want to connect your HP to your Mac, and then you want your Mac to go to your wireless router. You should be able to connect to your HP and still use the Airport at the same time, but the internet connection will only be for the Mac.

I theory, it sounds like what you suggest may be possible. I don't think that the iBook (or any other Mac) can have both the Airport and Ethernet connections simultaneously active. However, Airport equipped Macs are able to act as a software Basestation. In this case, the Ethernet port is active and so is the Airport. The iBook would recieve the Internet via Ethernet and distribute via Airport. This is the exact reverse of what you're trying to do.
I've never heard/read about anyone trying to do this. Certainly worth a Google. If you can't find anything or can't get it to work, getting a wireless card (or bridge) for the HP is probably the easiest. And that's guarenteed to work.
