internet connection issue

hey

Here's another connection issue.
I think I may have a bunk modem however even when I try to connect onto my neighbor's wifi , I can't, even when it shows 5 bars. I usually can connect to them without a problem. That leads me to believe there is something wrong with my iMac CD.

Any thoughts?
