Internet Connection?

I have an iMac G5 w/isight and a Windows C both connected through 1 router which is connected to the cable modem. It seems that my Windows box is getting faster downloads than may iMac. Is this common that Macs are slower?

I forgot to add that I am using Firefox on both machines.

Are you using ethernet as well? Mac aren't slower.

To be honest I have the same problem, I think that the Mac is more consistent when it downloads. If that makes since (It doesn't does it?)

Strangely, my two Macs are significantly faster at downloading than my PC on my wireless network. I think it has something to do with the quality of the PC's wireless card though.

Sorry, I am wired with ethernet. My Mac and Pc are connected throught the same router and cable modem. It just seems that mt PC is faster at downloads. I use Firefox w/ fasterfox on both.
