finally got our v sat up for internet in our residences in our kabul compound. have 2 mb down and 512 up link for many users.

everyone connects with dhcp for ip, gw, and snmask. manual dns entries.

hook mac up, get ip info, can go to console and go out on net and ping, nslookup, etc.....

fire up itunes for cddb, software update, or safari and get nowhere. safari brings up a page partially then fails with many errors.

fire up piece o crap windows laptop, gets ip info, launch ie and bam...full web pages, full surfing. no problems.

connection is windows 2000 internet connection sharing setup. one person mentioned checking that firewall was not enabled at windows nic. it is not.

any ideas? don't want a 2500 dollar paperweight for my 18 months here.

thanks-

dhc
