I was just wondering, is it illegal to go on the internet( wirelesS), if it dosen'tt have a password? I know you are not supposed to use the ones with ps's and all. I was just wondering if it was ok to use ones WITHOUT pass's and that are automatically on . like you open it and its on.XD

If you're asking about jumping on other people's Internet connections, this may be of interest.

Technically, yes it is illegal everywhere. Non-technically, lots of people leave them open and don't care if people use their service--so I doubt those poeple would ever press charges against you. So the question is, do you know if they left it open on purpose or if they're even aware of it.
Best advice is to not do it, unless you know who's network it is and they give you permission.

What's the worst that can happen?

:D
That attitude can get you into a world of trouble. Many people leave their wireless connections open on purpose. If you use those, then use discretion. Don't download things that will get you thrown into the slammer. Even if you don't go to one of our lovely crossbar resorts, you may have to get really friendly with an attorney. You certainly don't want to cause grief for the person who left the connection open for you.
