So, got recommended to ask a question in this section rather, mods/admin; hope you don't mind, feel free to merge.

Hey guys 'n gals.

New to these forums, hope to find some help :)

So, I am trying to share my internet (USB modem) via ethernet to my PS3.

I am aware that I must enable Internet Sharing in System Preferences, but, the option is not present there...

Here is a screenshot:

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am running Mac OS X Server 10.6.3.

Thanks in advanced!

That's not where you set up OS X Server.
That's done with Server Admin.
Look in Applications > Server
It will make more sense when you open that up.
Also, you'll have to set your router to route port 80 the IP of the server. Set it to DHCP with a manual IP first.

I don't see what this has to do with Internet Sharing.

In any case, you do need to set up the NAT service in Server Admin. There is a Gateway Setup wizard to help you.

I'm not connected via a router unfortunately, I've been restricted to a USB modem. Thanks you nonetheless, appreciate it.

In Server Admin, you need to select your server, click on Settings, click on the Services tab and check the box for NAT. Click Save.

Click on the triangle left of your server to expand the services list and click on NAT. Click on Overview and run the Gateway Setup Assistant. Click on 'More Info' to read what it's going to do.

n.b.
If you need someone to tell you this, you should either
1) Start reading the documentation for OS X Server, e.g.:
http://support.apple.com/manuals/#os x server 1.6
or
2) get away from OS X Server as fast as you can.

Option 2 is seeming very possible. Thanks for the help, I think I'm going back to Client edition.

All your help is much appreciated. There is no Rep system here, am I correct?

You're kidding me.
I can't even bring myself to comment on this.

"Internet Sharing" is a hack in Snow Leopard Client, intended for temporary, low security WiFi network access by other systems. That's probably why it isn't in server. If you are running a server you need to set up networking properly.
