Howdy Folks.
Bit of a funky network question;
My goal is to get my xbox360 to share internet via internet my MacbookPro with ClearWire 4G USB connector.
I turned on internet sharing from system preferences>sharing. From "4g Wimax" to "Ethernet". I plugged an ethernet cable from macbook to the "internet" port on my router, and then ran a ethernet cable to the xbox, the xbox detects the network, but not the internet.
I'm pretty tech savvy but not a network wiz.
I reset the modem, but left it on default settings.
Do I need custom DNS or IP addresses on the router?
Is there something else I need to set up on my Mac?
Would it be easier to bypass the router and just plug cable direct to Xbox?
Thanks folks!

It would be far easier to bypass the router completely. What could be happening is that the router isn't able to (or needs to be refreshed) get internet information from your Mac. Login to your router and see what IP information it's pulling.

Direct Connection

I'm tried direct connection but no luck. Is a regular CAT 5 cable sufficient? Or would I need a "crossover" cable?
Thanks,
