Hey, I was wondering if anyone has any favourite tethering apps (on a jailbroken iphone) - what source/apps are the best? I am currently using iPhoneModem, but its far far too slow.

Thanks

PS> No anti-jailbreaking fan boys. Thanks.

I'm not jailbroken anymore, but when I was, PDANet was *by far* the best tethering app. I'd get that if you can.

If you're a registered developer and you know how to compile and install apps to your phone, ModSocks (http://www.sourcemac.com/?page=codeoc&lang=en) is pretty good, and you can use it even if you're not jailbroken. But if you're jailbroken, I would have to recommend PDANet over ModSocks.

Yeah PdaNet is great, just join your Ad Hoc network and you get a data usage read out on the iPhone and if your 3G is good, its a reasonable browsing experience (with AdBlock at least)

ModSocks is great for developers locked into 3.0 and not wanting to try a jailbreak. I'm using it now.
