Hello!
Continuing on from my previous thread about the power adapter question, my 17" Powerbook 1.5 arrived today!
After replacing the superdrive, the machine works absolutely flawlessly and the only other part i need is a new battery. After removing over 65gb of personal information (why do people do this?!) from the machine and installing a new copy of Leopard, it absolutely flies, running circles around my 12" 867. The machine even came with 1.5gb of RAM, not far off maxed out.
This machine completes my slight Powerbook trio, as I also own the aforementioned 12" 867 and a TiBook 400mhz (as well as 2 iBooks). Although I wouldn't say it was in amazing condition due to some fairly nasty dings on the corners, the machine looks brand-new inside which I suppose is most important.
Now, a question to all of you G4 owners out there: what do you use your machines for. I don't really want to abandon this machine in a cupboard as I feel it could be used for something productive, ideally to complement my main MBP. Any ideas are welcome.
Enough of that, here are some pictures! I hope you'll agree that for £26 + shipping, it's not a bad deal!
