Apple will sue them. It is black, rectangular and has rounded edges. :apple:

I doubt RIM will survive to see 2014, but at least they have a piece of hardware that doesn't look like the rest of their 90's looking phones. Unfortunately, knowing RIM, they will stick a 1gHz single core CPU in it and 800x400 screen, with 8gb of storage. Hopefully, i am wrong and they surprise me.

Looks real sleek, don't like the software tho.

So all you gotta say is it looks sleek? No comment about how it looks "similar" to an iphone or anything negative? Why do I get the feeling if that was a Samsung, you would call it a blatant rip-off of the iPhone. Hmm....in fact this BB looks like a Samsung that many including you have called a blatant ripoff of the iPhone.
Here ya go...right down to the dimpled back cover. You know the one that all the fanboys like to call flimsy cheap plastic. Why not the same comment for this new BB? I guess those comments are only reserved for a company that actually poses a threat to Apple.

Personally, I expect phones to look similar. There's only so many ways to design a rectangular device. I'm liking this new BB, the only thing I don't like is the bezel. I think it's a little to big all the way around.

And I thought Apple/Android fanboys were bad

Read the comments

I couldn't tell it was a Blackberry...then I saw the huge Blackberry stamp on the front of the phone

Can you blame them? They've been dying for a real touchscreen phone for some time now. Hope it's a great phone. I want BB to stick around.

No I can't blame them

I would like them to stick around too, but I really think they lost way too big of a market to gain back. There will always be a fair share of loyal customers though.

Competition is good for all the other platforms

Jesus it looks a lot like the iphone 5  lets hope the guys at RIM to get the samsung treatment but i guess it just depend if the public "like" the phone; i honestly dont think too many people will go bananas over BB anymore, a lot of old BB users around here allready jumped to samsung galaxy range and sadly RIM have that ship a new phone every 2 month going on....

Saw the software/OS demos but it just didnt do anything for me and only got eye candy feeling, goodluck RIM !

You sound like a broken record. This thing looks good, I don't see much semblance to an iPhone. Sorry?

I have sooooo little faith in RIM. I'll watch from afar.

I think this will clot the bleeding. But how many people will actually go running back? Time will tell. After trying everything out there, I know I'll be sticking with Android for a bit. Yes, it's really that good, in my opinion of course. Hope this BB is a success though.

I have to agree. I really want this to be a success as I have been a BB user for years. But after getting a taste of Android on the GS3, I really don't think I can go back. In fact, I can honestly say, I know I will pick up a GS4. But who knows, I may pick up a BB in addition to my GS4 just to support the brand and be a good Canadian. lol.

Honestly, if you look closely, it's not even that nice looking of a device. Definitely too much bezel if you look closely at where the screen actually starts.

Also, it reminds me of the Droid X in some ways (ugly).

I think BB fans/hopefuls just have their standards extremely low for RIM nowadays.

By the gods look at the comments  people are making a big deal of a design/form that is pretty much standart

BB has always been a bit too business for me and the BB 10 goes even further with it.

Multi language typing prediction is a single sentence? Yikes. And they still have the personal and work profiles.

Dunno just not for me.

I finally had a chance to look at the pics in detail and that lower front bezel needs to be reworked. That branding is offensive. Delete it and extend the screen.

I dropped an iP4S and an Android (Razr) for BB. I'm on my 9930 waiting for my upgrade... pretty interesting stuff coming down the pike from the videos we Crackberry faithful have been seeing...

Really nice looking device. Depending on the software it could be the phone and platform to displace Microsoft as the preferred third player.

Looking forward to the reviews and seeing more from RIM now.
