vine is an all in one RSS haven, here you can find all your informational needs. The start page lists the more popular feeds, ones that most people read on a daily basis. To get deeper all you have to do is choose your specific topic from the drop down menu. Each topic has its own sub category that nails down on exactly what you want.

The project is currently in beta, though it is mostly finished I want to take this first week of launch to nail out any final bugs. So if you find any bugs, please let me know by emailing me at feedprocess [at] gmail [dot] com or commenting on this post.

It's still in Beta? I was still in college when it was still in beta.

:confused:You just confused me. You might be thinking of something else since I launched this yesterday. Will be in beta for the next two weeks.

I like the design, very swish. I suggest you thing about doing some sort of caching for the front page and perhaps the more popular sub pages, so that they load faster. i.e. serve the page pre completed with the feed info. I can't see the benefit in doing 9 extra queries for each of the feeds when they could just be returned with the main page, or at least in one extra query.

Yeah, very nice. I like the interface a lot. My only suggestion would be reworking the header so you're not taking up so much vertical space with just your logo. Maybe integrate the logo to the left of your menu/controls. When I go to the page, I want to see as much of the feeds as possible. And, as someone suggested, caching would be good...have it read from the feed's cache if the cache is less then 10 or 15 minutes old when the feed is requested; otherwise, initiate the feed scrape and store the results as a new cache.

Reminds me a lot of a personal RSS home page I made a few years ago, before I discovered a good desktop RSS reader: http://rogersmj.com/home/

Nice work!

Thank you.

The header has room for features I'm working on, but I definitely understand that it is taking up some space. Will be reworking it when I get done with the addition I'm working on for now.

As for caching, that did come up in the initial draft of the project itself. I've had some issues with it but I will definitely be working on it.

Thanks for the feedback.
