Hi Folks. I could really use some advice here.
I picked up from UPS my first Mac -- a 21.5 inch model. I had to pick it up from the UPS store, and I could not see the box celarly before i signed, and low and behold, once I had signed and the box was given to me, I pointed out to UPS clerk that there was a baseball sized hole in the side of it, and UI could see right insie the box. She tells me I have to call Apple.
Got the machine home, unpacked it, and everything looks fine. Started it up, and everything seems to run fine. My concern, however, is that there may be some internal damage that has shortened the life of this machine/ Am I being paranoid? If I were to contact Apple and ask for an exchange, would I get one, or would I simply be sending mine back, having them look it over, and send me the original machine in return -- thus risking it to more shipping carnage than necessary?
So, to sum up, should I try to return what I received, and if I did, would I be getting a new machine in return automatically, or would Apple do all it could to send me back the original.
Thanks folks,
Midnight
