Same here but I suspect this is beacuse I restored to iOS 5 from a jailbroken 4.3.1 w/ Lockinfo so I suspect unless I first restore as new it's somehow interfering with the new iOS5 feature.

Also I suspect the notification center is borked as it will not keep my order of apps as defined in Settings and is also not showing some notifications as it should be.

Any more people with these issues?

I'm confused. Have you actually gotten a notification from an app that (1) is notification-center-enabled, and (2) is lockscreen-notification-enabled? The lockscreen normally doesn't display anything different from iOS4.

Edit: also, the alert style cannot be, "None".

If your phone is locked with a passcode then you cannot access the notification center.

No, you can't. All you'll see on lock screen is recent notifications since you locked the phone.

If your phone is locked with a passcode then you cannot access the notification center.

As far as I can tell, you can't access the notification from the lock screen, even when there is no passcode.

First you have to swipe to unlock, then swipe down.

The only things that display on the lock screen are notifications for specific apps that you've specified to display on the lock screen....but that's separate from the notification center.

For example, I have incoming emails displayed on the lock screen, but choose to have them NOT show up in the notification center.

There's a definite learning curve to this whole notification things.....it's very customizable, but also pretty confusing.

time for some truth here...

There is no weather or stocks information on the lock screen, there never was. In none of the betas.

Only new notifications that came up after the iphone was locked show up on the lockscreen.
lock it, send yourself a text and/or email or anything and it will show up

You're absolutely correct. Also, if you unlock and lock again those lockscreen notifications will disappear as if you've actualy took care of them in their respective app. Which sucks

I was looking forward to this new system to replace my trusty Lockinfo but it turned out to be a dud IMO. Can't wait for iOS5 untethered JB.

They're still shown/listed in the notification center, and so it's not that bad ...

Yes they are and that's why it makes no sense to not show them in lockscreen as well. If you've been used to Lockinfo for years it's kinda hard to wrap your head around what on earth the devs here were thinking...

I fully agree. Compared to Lockinfo it is quite sad. That said, David Ashman has put through a couple of betas today and seemingly is close to finished. However, I think I am going to wait for an untethered jailbreak.

The devs are thinking that if you have a passcode on your phone and someone steals/finds it, then that person shouldn't be able to see your email and stuff.

I personally agree with that.

However, it would be nice if there was an on/off setting and we could decide for ourselves.

Im not getting any of my emails shown on the lock screen, or in my notification centre. Anyone else experiencing this? I have set mail to the right settings as others such as facebook, and foursquare, and they work ok.
