I just bought the 250gb Iomega desktop Hard drive. The package was labelled "PC/Mac", "Software included" and "Touch-Free backup." When I reformatted the disk with the Mac utility, setup and ran the included Iomega Automatic Backup software, I found that a number of chosen files and folders were not backed up to the destination disk.
I went to Iomega's live-chat support and was told that the software only works (properly) with 10.2.7 or lower and they don't provide any alternative.
This seems pretty absurd. I specifically chose this drive over cheaper alternatives because of the Mac-friendly labelling. The Systems Requirements on the box were listed as "Requires Mac OS X or above" not as "10.2.X or earlier". Don't they have any further obligation?
