I recently updated to iOS 10.0.2. To my dismay, I can no longer access the camera on the lock screen by swiping on the icon.
This was a very useful function when I wanted to catch some quick shots with my iPhone 6 without first having to enter my passcode to access the camera on the home screen.

I've tried resetting, but to no avail.

Does anyone know whether it's possible to get the camera back onto the lock screen? Or did Apple do away with that function?

With iOS 10 they removed the icon. You swipe the lock screen to the left to access the camera.

Or are you saying that function doesn't work?

Oh, for goodness sake! LOL Now I feel like a complete idiot. :) The lack of icon was confusing.
Just tried swiping left. It works.

Thank you for your prompt response.

That's ok. I had to explain this to my sister, dad, and Google it myself. I had to play around to find it- I felt like oops myself. But it's so obvious now :D

I miss swipe to unlock cry
