Meh. I don't buy it. A beta like 10.0 will definitely end with a lowercase letter character, not a number.

The 8.1 build is a final build and the 9.1 build is a beta build. Look at the difference in the build number.

True, but haven't they been dropping the letter recently? For example iOS 9.3.3 beta 2 is build 13G21.

Yes but thats a X.x.x build, not a X.0 build.
