Hi All,

I have a iPhone SE, and I've been declining all iOS 10 upgrade messages for quite some time. I was happy with iOS 9.3, and liked the way the phone ran. I accidentally upgraded the phone when it was plugged in through iTunes, and now I want to go back. The phone seems to be running a bit wonky since I updated, and I use iMessage the most, and do not like the bloated icons on the left side of each new iMessage. I also miss the slide to unlock feature, as I use assist touch (a bit wonky in iOS 10 also).

Is there any safe/clean way of going back to iOS 9 without any issues? I want to ensure it's stable and I do not lose any data. What's the easiest/seamless way of doing this?

Thanks very much in advance!

Best Regards,

Brad

what icons in imessage? am also on an SE, and thought those icons only showed on the 6S, 7S...? i've never seen them on my phone..

ios 10.3 runs really well on my SE (i do have reduce motions "on" fwiw)

You can't downgrade to iOS 9.

Instead, upgrade to 10.3, which should fix the issues you're seeing in 10.2.1 (which wasn't the best update, many of us have had minor problems with it.)
