iOS 10.2 iPhone 6 : Unable to verify server identity

Been getting this error repeatdedly until I switched off SSL for outgoing mails.
Is there some other workaround? Happened only after updating to 10.x

This is using the Mail app? What email provider? Happens when you are trying to send email or in some other instances?

Yes, using Mail app. Its my private domain email addresses. I have some three of them, different domains, hosted across two different hosts, all giving me the same error. It wasn't like this before 10.x
