Yea.... it's a shame. I have a few apps that I want to see notifications from on some days but not others. Wonder why they cut that setting out?

Yup. The change happened post iOS 9.3.5 (i.e. iOS 10 >)

The good thing of iOS10.2 in my opinion is that we now have the iOS9 functionality back that it remembers which kind of view you used the last time so in my case that is in 95% of the cases showing my widgets (e.g. Launcher) to get instant access to apps like KeePass Touch to login instantly to things. It would be great though if these kind of things could be set somewhere in the Settings app as well.
