Just upgraded to 10.2, but I'm in Canada so I'm still stuck with the old Videos app. That's fine, except now the switch in Settings that used to allow me to hide my iTunes purchases (so that I will only see local content in the Videos app) doesn't work. It won't let me hide the purchases.

Anyone else having the same problem, and know of a workaround? When traveling (and without access to decent download speeds) I like to only be able to only see what's on my iPad at the time.

Same here.
TV APP U.S. Only.
I'm from México.
6S iOS 10.2 final release, no show purchases.
And Battery life is a Garbage

I know you don't have it, because you are in Canada, but those that have the TV app installed don't even have that toggle anymore.

Not even if you "re-install" the Videos app from the App Store? When I saw you could do that, I assumed that you could use both apps side-by-side and Videos would continue to function as it always had.

Nope. The settings are identical. If you delete the TV app and then only have the videos, you get the toggle back but it doesn't work. But if you have both then no toggle exists.

Weird. The fact that the toggle doesn't work seems like it's almost certainly a bug. But if the new TV app does away with the toggle altogether, maybe I should just try to get used to the new status quo for when it finally rolls out internationally.

The TV app has multiple tabs. Movies, TV Shows, Downloaded and Home Videos (If you have). So you can just go to the downloaded tab and it shows everything on the device and you don't see the cloud movies. At first I was really annoyed because I only like seeing whats downloaded, but I've grown to like having both options and that they are separate. Now I can stream a movie that I didn't have downloaded but its cleanly organized.

I've reported it as a bug many times during the beta.

At least you have the Videos app. Mine got deleted and I cannot download it anymore, which means I cannot sync videos anymore either.

The workaround for you is the TV apps, which has Download tab that shows only downloaded mode (it also defaults to this view when your phone isn't connected to the Internet).

Hey mate - I think I've found a solution - try signing out of the iTunes Store on your iOS device then check the videos app - should no longer have the cloud ones vissible - then sign back into the store and it seems to have fixed it - can't say for how long as only just done it myself

Hey, thanks! Working so far for me too.

The solution works when I'm not signed into iTunes but the PROBLEM returns when signed in ... very, very annoying.

And it makes NO difference if the toggle is on or off.

Goshdarnit!! I only just updated to 10.2, and I've got this same crappy bug...
I'm guessing Apple's not going to be in any hurry to fix it - if ever - because the Video app seems to be going the way of the dodo, to make way for the TV app.
