Running 10.3.2b1. Will removing the public beta profile and installing this release cause loss of data? Will it results in a functional VPN that is broken in the current beta?

Run arbitrary code on the wifi chip?
Anyone have any light into what kind of problems this bug could do?

Bad things. Very bad things.

AKA I have no idea what problems it could've caused if it wasn't patched.

Let's have a crack at it.

Let's say that someone exploits this by writing a program that flashes/wipes the firmware on that chip, therefore bricking the chip itself, leaving the user without any WiFi capability at all.

That can be done remotely, as the vulnerable iPhone only has to be on the same WiFi network as the attacker.

So all that is needed is some arbitrary program to do this, and a WiFi network where many people congregate... like an airport.

Imagine someone doing that to every iPhone in range running 10.3 or older (assuming that the same WiFi chip was used in the iPhone 5 up to the 7+, and that the vulnerability exists in previous versions of iOS).

See the potential for bad things?
