Hi guys,

Since downloading iOS 10.3 Beta 1 I've been having constant problems with my iPhone 6 Plus. My phone can go from performing as normal to regular spouts is irresponsiveness, jittering animations, slow loading of the keyboard, and would often switch off completely with a reasonable amount of battery left! It's become very unreliable as it would suddenly switch off and won't turn back on again until after an hour or two later when it suddenly turns on after pressing the power switch, as if nothing ever happened.

Yes, I get this is Beta software, especially Beta 1 of .3, but I've been running iOS betas for the last few years and never have I come across such high instability. I expect bugs and issues, but not to this extent where my phone is regularly behaving so unusually unstable. I just plugged my phone into the charger and iOS would not register the charge, so I thought I'd ask here on MacRumors if anyone else is experiencing such unusual instability?

Cheers

it was fine expect for that is breaks esports, steam, skype apps & callkit. probably a ton more apps out there too. odd hiccup here and there but nearly perfect, the usual for a beta 1 of x.y. older devices usually take a couple more betas in to fix up.

Bugs I've gotten so far:

- Black screen when opening apps
- 1 complete device freeze (force restart)
- A few times whereby the entire device would lag for a second or two when going back to home screen
I haven't reinstalled any apps so I wouldn't know if 10.3 breaks any logins.

As for what you've listed, my keyboard (Swype) loads at a pretty decent speed, and unlike in 10.2 doesn't bug out with the gray box anymore, which I consider a plus. As for your battery issue, get it fixed at Apple, it's a known issue.

other than some very minor lagginess, this has been a superb beta. especially considering the new file system. Sorry it hasn't been as smooth for you.

Gotta be in it to win it
I have some odd random lag, mostly with the assistive touch button. Other than that, no resprings, lockups. Apps that used to crash before the beta, still crash after the beta install. :(

I've had a few random resprings. A little bit of freezing but nothing too extreme. I also get the black screen for a second when opening native apps.
Like an earlier poster, Swype finally isn't screwy with the gray box anymore so I'm ultimately very happy.

Unfortunately it broke T-Mobile again with IPV6 with no IPV4 fallback. Blah. Haha.

No major issues to speak of. Running well on my 7+. Couple of individual non-Apple apps with issues but that is to be expected.

I can stay at this beta forever to be honest. That is the best beta experience I have ever had. I have been using developer betas and installed every single beta since ios 7 beta 1.

Edit: Altough my ipad pro cannot output sound throuh apple earpods. My experience with iphone 6+ is flawless.

My Steam app still works. How's your Steam app not working?
[doublepost=1485966544][/doublepost]Except already horrendous battery life, no obvious bug is found. Bluetooth connection is also great. No random cutoff, even though I am playing Hi-Res music.

Running extremely well on my 7+ except for settings app opens with a black screen.

As long as I'm using the right wallpaper, there are no lags to speak of.

try confirming something to sell on market itll never confirm, makes it look like a server issue when its not. log out from the app & u wont be able to log back in, doing the same endless loading like its a server issue when its not.

About the same experience here. Fade to black when opening apps, many apps slow to load. In messages, when I do the quick look, and start to reply within the quick look, it'll crash. It's been doing this since the first 10.0 for me. I keep sending in bug reports.

Also on my iPad Pro, I use safari to view Facebook, I don't use the app. Now since 10.3, when I click on any photo that anyone has posted in a thread, my IPP goes into a continuous loop, opening the pic, to black, opening the pic, to black, and won't stop until I exit FB and log in again. The FB app works as expected. Bug reports sent.

First time Beta program user here ;) Just installed 10.3 beta 1 and it's so much snappier than 10.2.1 ! The new file system seems a great step forward. Everything working 100% so far.

OP I came here to find out if anyone was experiencing the same thing. I've have installed every beta for at least 5 years now and I have never come across a version I wanted to remove until this one. I've never even considered it. Betas are betas. And I'm not very picky. I don't care at all about animation speeds, fluctuations in battery life (unless super drastic I guess), or crap like that. As long as my phone works I'm fine. And I enjoy the new features. But this beta is just awful. And I know that people come here and say this feature or that feature is really bad in beta x.x and in reality it's fine for just about everyone else. So I will clarify, this beta is just terrible - for me. Like really bad. I'm trying to stick it out until b2. I hope it comes soon. Oh, and I dropped my phone on a rock and smashed the screen yesterday. I'm blaming 10.3b1. :D

Only issue I had is with one of my apps and battery life hasn't been too good on my iPad Pro 9.7, no problems with battery life on my iPhone 7 Plus though.

Noticed a weird slow down on certain apps like Tapatalk. Force closing them doesn't help either. Only way to get the app back moving smoothly is too hard reset the phone. Cache issue perhaps?

Personally for me I do agree it's a lot buggier than previous betas I've experienced, but I have no issues, since it *is* a beta, and I've essentially already agreed to install a pre-release system that may contain bugs.

Besides, Apple's using APFS now, and such a major under-the-hood change will be bound to cause bugs.

I've had 2 complete freezes requiring reboots so far... not the end of the world, but something I don't believe should be happening this late in the iOS 10 cycle.

The only issue I'm having is that during a call, the keypad doesn't work sometimes, meaning that if I'm trying to dial into a conference bridge, I can have a lot of issues.
