About 5 years ago I had this working flawlessly working with a Gmail account by the way within the stock Apple mail app. Now you read an e-mail on iCloud.com and you'd expect the notification on your iPhone lock screen and the unread message badge icon on the app to be gone, empty. Nope, not with iOS 10 (still?!). Can't believe this hasn't been fixed yet. Such a basic thing.

A minor thing but once you've had it working the obviously better way, going back just feels dumb.

Handoff doesn't seem to be working right now on my iPhone 6s, but is on my Mini 4 and my rMBP. But iCloud syncing is crawling. I took a picture on my iPad with the Lightroom app to see if I could edit it in raw in Photos. Two hours later is still hasn't showed up on my Mac.

The thing is I don't think this is a "Handoff" issue. This is something with a different name = different service = different technology (I think). Struglling to find the exact name, there has been very little discussion about this on the forums from what I've found. Someone did post a keynote presentation slide up on when they announced their fix for maybe iOS 6 or 7 it was.

Just an endless amount of forum posters puzzled why such a basic thing appears to have NEVER worked seamlessly. Sorry can't find the exact name of the service Apple advertised, it would have been something like "Notification Sync."
