I used to hack my Motorola cellphones way before the iphone was out and I was installing tons of Java games and other apps.
Before that it was messing with DOS.

How long I've been registered and how legit something is don't always correlate. I guess we'll wait and see soon enough.
I feel ya. I followed a link today on how to add Pangu to homescreen in iOS 10 and found myself at a website that shows step by step how to add their web page to your home screen, adding a special pangu icon that takes you right back to their site. I had to lol, the title was not even deceptive. They did supply links to other scam sites as well.
