I've noticed when I dismiss a notification on my iPad, it was immediately cleared from my iPhone. Although this was never consistent and I'm wondering if this notification syncing is only for apps that support it or what...?

Apple didn't touch up about anything about notifications syncing. They didn't even talk about how notifications will only ring an alert on your most recently used device. Which only seems to work on the first party apps... again, is this something developers have to support?

Is there anywhere that touches up on this!

I think it only works with Apple apps, like Mail, Reminders, etc. Example you dismiss a reminder on your Mac and the notification disappear on the phone, too, considering the two devices are using the same iCloud account. So it's just iCloud refreshing in the background. It was already working with iOS 9, nothing new.

But don't expect to dismiss a Twitter/Facebook notification on one device and see it cleared on another device at the same time.

I don't think this is the case. Because I dismissed Talkatone off one device and saw it disappear in the other. It's confusing because it works sometimes.

Never tried between an iPhone and an iPad to be honest. Always between a Mac and an iPhone, and sadly it doesn't work for third party apps.
