Just wanted to see if this is a known issue. Today I was on a work conference call and I went to place my phone in my pocket while it was on mute and when pressing the lock button the call ended as if I hung up.

I'm not sure why it did this and I couldn't find a setting to enable or disable this functionality.

Anyone else notice this?

iPhone 6S 64GB on ATT.

This is actually a feature and has been for a very long time. If you press the lock button while on a phone call, unless using speakerphone or a Bluetooth device, it ends the call. It's an alternative to pressing the end call button on the screen.

There is no way to disable the feature.

This is not a feature. It was a bug in one of the iOS 9 betas that was fixed. Pressing the lock button shouldn't shut down the call. My wife's phone is still on 9.3.2 and when the lock button is pressed it does not shut down the call. Just turns off the screen.

EDIT: I omitted when on Bluetooth or speaker this should not happen.

Was this when using a headset/speaker of some sort or speakerphone?

I'll have to double check what happened as I was exiting my vehicle which was on a Bluetooth connection during my conference call. When my car (2016 Mazda 6) turned off it switched to the handset and I locked the screen temporarily while I placed the phone in my pocket. That's when it ended the call.
