I think the performance is the same, not much different in speed. I prefer they concentrate on stability rather than speed. Speed is sufficiently fast for me.

Opening apps from a folder is sluggish on my 6S+ but it's something that'll be ironed out in the next beta I hope, overall though I love iOS 10 and the direction they're going!

It seems about the same as iOS 9.3.2 on my iPhone 6+.

About the same. I'm having far more hesitations during OS navigation in PB2 vs PB1.

So far, it's on par with 9.3.3 for me on my iPhone SE. It's pretty fast. The only performance issue I've had is with the app switcher occasionally locking up because of a rogue app or process.

If you want to see a side by side comparison there is a guy on YouTube who makes a video when every new version is released. Looks like iOS 10 is a titch slower than iOS 9 but almost the same so far. I'm thinking about leaving my iPhone 6 on 9.3.3 forever but if iOS 10 makes it up to par I may upgrade.

Great on 6S, choppy at places on Air 2 (switching between Notifications and Widgets, Spotlight). More responsive than 9 on both devices in some areas like swiping to previous page in Safari (you can do stuff earlier after going back).

Not really, major performance differences and issues that are present around beta 3 and onwards are usually getting fixed in point releases after X.0, if at all.

Definitely not been my experience recently. 9 was laggy as hell until near the GM.

Its slower right now for me but its only beta 3. It will get smoother as its updated. That being said its a not more stable then the iOS 9 betas were. That one was wonky right up until the GM.

Guys does everyone encounter small stutters here and there? For examples in messages app when scrolling through your conversations there are some stutters in there? I am on iphone 6s by the way.

Small stutters yes but it's actually better than iOS 9 has ever been on my 6s (and I updated from 9, this is not a clean install). It's a very solid release (I've been on iOS since iPhone OS 2.0).

I installed PB 3 on my 6 because I wanted to try it out before it launches on September so I can decide if I stay on 9 or update to 10. I was hesitant because the WWDC keynote made it look like it was meant for 12 year olds.

After one week I kind of like it.

The performance seems to be a little better than on iOS 9. I really like the new UI animations since it makes everything snappier.

I hate the new Music app and Control Center.

I updated from my current iOS 9 installation and considering this is still a beta I think it will be even better when it officially launches.

To be honest, I still don't know if I will stay on iOS 9 or update. But the odds of me updating have increased after using it.

Comparing iOS 10 beta performance to iOS 9 is really not fair because a lot of things change during the beta period, but all signs seem to point towards major gains in iOS 10. We'll see how it all plays out by public release time.

Same here. I'm tired of new iOS versions slowing down my devices. I might upgrade to iOS 10 if the speed difference is barely noticeable on my iPhone 6S and iPad Pro 9.7, and then leave it there. It's simply not worth slowing down devices for a few often not necessary and sometimes gimmicky features.
