Installed iOS 11.0.3 on my iPhone SE and ever since, I am getting horrible battery drain, especially watching YouTube (web version). I am getting about 5 to even 10 percent drainage every 3 to 5 minutes.
The only other apps I used that I had installed are a scanner radio app and MyNoise app (background sleep sounds), that's about it. I even hardly run any apps under background refresh.

Is this because that the iPhone SE is an older phone and the battery drainage tends to be greater under iOS 11 than like say the iPhone 7 or 8?

It tends to get really rough on battery when playing YouTube videos (browser version).
And yesterday, the phone got warm as well.

Thanks

You need to calibrate your battery as explained here:
https://lifehacker.com/smartphone-battery-myths-explained-1735327089

Once the battery is down to 0 charge it right away up to 100%. This shouldn't be done again, though, since it's bad for the battery's health to be fully drained. NEVER LET YOUR BATTERY DRAIN COMPLETELY, ALWAYS RECHARGE BEFORE REACHING 0%.

You'll only do this once to calibrate.

Also try a hard reset:

And follow these tips:
https://www.cnet.com/how-to/11-ways-to-improve-iphone-battery-life-with-ios-11/

P.S. A clean install is also recommended, as I explained here:

The "never drain to 0%" is a myth. You will not damage your battery as the phone never actually gets to zero. It actually has about 10% still left.

True. You shouldn't let lithium ion battery to zero but you don't actually have access to the 'metal' so you won't be able to fully drain it.

So feel free to charge it up and let it run down as much as you like
