Anyone else having severe issues with non-carplay car interfaces - specifically ones that use the legacy iPod spec to provide digital music to a car or speaker via USB? My wife and I both have iPhones with A9 chips (iPhone 6S and iPhone SE) and after the iOS 11.1 update we can't connect to our respective cars via the usb. I've talked to other people and anecdotally they've had to all of the sudden work up "workarounds" to make their iPod interface work since updating to 11.1, though the workaround doesn't work around for me (the workaround is that you have to have the music begin with the music app and then connect via USB).
I have restarted my iphone, restarted the car, tried different USB connectors.
