Ten days ago i upgraded my iphone 6s plus to ios11 because upgrade was promising that photos and videos would take less space on the phone! I am traveling through south america at the moment and that was appealing to me! First few days everything was alright but then my 6s started acting weird!

Touchscreen was freezing for long hours, i could not move anything on the screen, apps didnt work at all and i could not take photos/videos or answer my whatsapp messages or emails! I cannot make calls or reset my phone either because i will lose all data on my bank apps as i am far from home backpacking in south america! Few days ago i contacted and chat with Apple Inc. Support Team by their app and they recommended me to install the latest 11.2 and i did it but my phone is even worse right now! Then tried to contact Support Team again but agent cut off the conversation as i was explaining my problems.

MY ONLY CONNECTION TO THE REST OF THE WORLD is THIS PHONE!!!

I am not carrying my computer with me, all my financials, contacts, notes, emails etc on this iphone 6s plus and Apple Inc. killed my device completely! I cannot even go into my settings and hit the backup button! There is this white flashing on top of the screen and some apps just open by themselves, erase stuff just like that and i cannot do nothing! My phone had no problem at all before i upgraded to ios11 and now i am completely helpless!

Apple Inc. makes billions of dollars selling these devices all around the world! And they claim to have the best software engineers team and to be one of the best tech firm around! But they cannot solve problems like this! I am still going to be traveling in south america for another two months! I need my phone functioning!

I am seriously going to sue Apple Inc. for the troubles and stress i am having....

Yeah okay. Good luck with that.

On a serious note, have you tried hard resetting the device, or reset all settings? Usually either of those will solve the problem and will not cause any data lose. But you should not be updating your phone if you know you do not have a computer incase something goes wrong. No software is bug-proof. Doesn't matter how good software engineers are.

My thoughts exactly. If you are in a foreign country why would you worry with updating your phone. Are you that low on storage space where saving a little space would be that beneficial? Seems like it’s kinda your fault for updating. Try to get to a computer and back it up and do a hard reset and reinstall all your stuff. Other than that you are SOL

1) Yet you mysteriously found a way to post to this site even though your phone is "unusable".
2) You don't have to punctuate every sentence with an exclamation point.
3) Restart the phone. That can solve many, many problems.
4) You might have a hardware issue going on that occurred by happenstance after you upgraded to iOS 11.
5) The title of your post says 6 Plus, but the actual post says 6S Plus - which one is it? FWIW, the 6 Plus was underpowered when it shipped with its native iOS 8. By iOS 10, it was pretty tough to use. I can't imagine what it's like to try to use on iOS 11.

For me IOS 11 killed my 6 plus, the battery just couldn't handle it so I moved up to the 8 Plus, haven't had any problems since. It was too bad that I had to do it but had no choice.

iOS 11 rendered my iPhone 6 borderline-useless. It was extremely slow and laggy, apps crashed all the time, iOS would often become unresponsive and I would have to manually restart the phone. I had to "hard restart" the phone 10-20 times in the 2-3 months that I had my IP6 with iOS 11. Most apps moved so slowly that I just stopped using them all together. I was able to put up with it for a few months until I got my iPhone X. I definitely wouldn't use anything less than an iPhone 7 long-term if iOS 11 is installed. Even then I've heard of people having a lot of trouble on the 7's with iOS 11, too.

Sorry to hear about your issues, but do try a hard reboot of the phone as mentioned above.

Also too late for you, but as a general rule do not change working technology while or just before you are totally depended on it.

OP stated they are traveling out-of-country and had no other electronic devices, so they had to have posted via their “unusable” iPhone.
Ummm, we don't know where this person was when they posted. Granted they are out of the country, but who's to say that they don't have means of other technology to get to this site. They might be at a friend's or relative's house who are letting the OP post here or they could be at a hotel that has computers set up that people who are staying there can use.

Same here, after ios 11 my iPhone 6 Plus was just ded. Moved to iPhone SE eventually

Expensive lesson but it must be learned. You get what you pay for. iOS updates while free, can almost always cause problems.
And an android update has never been know to cause any issue? Nice hyperbole.

OP, it sounds like a bad install. My biggest issue on 11.2 in my 6s is battery
Life could be better. I would try a setup as new.

iOS is optimized for the newer models. Common sense a new software on a old device will cause some sort of issues. Get a newer phone like Apple wants =problem solved.

Or, more realistically, along the lines "can occasionally cause issues of varying degrees for some" (as is often the case for most OS updates).

Yup, this.

Personally, I keep a couple of older devices on hand that I use as guinea pigs before I install updates on any of my production devices.

There is no sympathy left in this world.
Haha, nailed it. Everyone is being a dick, but OP kind of deserves it with his everyone-else's-fault-except-me comments. He could have said, "I've done something incredibly foolish and messed with my phone's OS while totally dependent on it and no other options while traveling in foreign country." I'm sure there would be way more "poor guy, let me help you out" responses. Alas, we will never know.

You can downgrade an Android. You can't downgrade iOS. So those problems aren't even remotely comparable.
