After updating to 11.2, if you start a NEW text thread, and only send an emoji (smile face, etc.) the screen turns all white and the only way to get it back to normal is to quit the text (messaging app) and launch it again. Happens on iPhone X, iPhone 7 and iPhone 5. All with iOS 11.2. This is a major bug that needs to be fixed.

I can confirm this, on my 6s.

Has anyone reported this issue to Apple? I’m not sure how Apple didn’t find this issue themselves!

Edit 2: now i tried it again and this time it actually crashed the app

Edit: seems to depend ob the emoji?

I just downgraded to 11.1.2 from 11.2 and this bug is still present.

I'm wondering why it's not happening to some people? Also if you downgraded back to 11.1.2, not sure why it's still present. It was not present in 11.1.2 initially. Hmmmmm.... There are enough people who are seeing the issue that I believe it is a real issue.
