After updating to 11.2, if you start a NEW text thread, and only send an emoji (smile face, etc.) the screen turns all white and the only way to get it back to normal is to quit the text (messaging app) and launch it again. Happens on iPhone X, iPhone 7 and iPhone 5. All with iOS 11.2. This is a major bug that needs to be fixed.

I just reported it, but with iOS 11.2 final out, we’ll probably have to live with it until 11.2.1 or 11.3.
I also added your original post to the iOS 11.2 Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements thread that is stickied at the top of the iOS 11 sub forum.

Edit: i got another bug, the back button in the top left doesnt work
Edit 2: now i tried it again and this time it actually crashed the app
Edit: seems to depend ob the emoji?
When i use the monkey the back button stops working for me

I'm wondering why it's not happening to some people? Also if you downgraded back to 11.1.2, not sure why it's still present. It was not present in 11.1.2 initially. Hmmmmm.... There are enough people who are seeing the issue that I believe it is a real issue.
