iOS 11.3 is great :)

I am just create this post for those peoples who said to me:

"How can you complain iOS 11.x.x is bad for five years old phone; its not iOS bug its all about your phone hardware..."

"You mean why is your almost 5-year-old phone slowing down on software designed for phones in 2017/18? Are you being serious?"

"Then the problem is the hardware. 1gb ram + A7 processor has limitations, you need to learn to compensate or upgrade your device."

"How long are you expecting iOS support for a five-year-old phone before it slows down."

My iPhone 5s is now stable and running very fast on iOS 11.3 like it was on 10.3.3.

I suggest then you keep it in that version then seen you love it. Its also highly likely that apple will go back to normal in slowing down there old phones come Ios 12 as it was well known that this version would be slick and clean on all versions and they could not afford to muck it up this time. But you are correct how long can they keep supporting old phones before they slow down but then at the same time there is nothing stopping them taking out the new features that are not supported in older versions of there phone's but to do that would mean a 5 phone would run like new and that has never been apples policy has it ?

Apple should end support for older devices, instead of slowing theme, because many people are using Apple's older devices.

Yup. Same experience here with my iPhone 6 Plus. On 11.2, my phone felt very sluggish with lots of stutters in the animations and scrolling. Now on 11.3, my phone feels more responsive and the animations and scrolling are silky smooth.

Bad battery on both of my devices! Devices get very hot soon I start using them. Hoping for 11.4 to fix this.

where do you find IOS 11.3? when i hit update in settings, it finds nothing. I’m currently on 11.3 beta 6

I have same battery problem only with 5s, my 6s is running normal. I think this issue is related about battery age, or maybe 11.4 to fix this.

I hope they fix battery issues, I'm having almost half the battery on iOS 11.3 compared to what I've been having with iOS 10.3.3

You’ve used the device for a year now, the battery capacity will never get back to its new state. So don’t dream.

I tested a theory. Went back to iOS 11.2.6 and battery usage went back to normal on iOS 11.3 it is horrible.

I think we've touched upon it in the other thread you created about it. (Sometimes it's even down to just some installs not going all that well and reinstalling can help.)

All depends on the performance. Once upon a time it was 1-3 years but when macOS/OS X stabilised and improved in performance in successive versions, my MBP2012 only was retired after nearly 5 years but still being used by my son for school work. It was lagging when working on photos and multimedia but perfectly fine for general texts. It did receive a 1T SSD upgrade and maxed out with 8GB RAM during its life. So until the HW dies, it'll probably work till the end of its days.
