No need to use third party apps to check you battery, Apple now lets us do it with 11.3. Downloaded and works well. We asked and Apple provided.

Let’s not have any false modesty, they provided the function after the fact what happened with the throttling. The battery health is a direct result of them responding to the issue that was brought to their attention back in December by others. Apple allowing others to check their battery health through iOS should be a lesson for them to be more transparent in the future, which even Cook agreed Apple could have been more open about.

Yes, it’s great that Apple provided this capability to check your battery.

^This.

Providing because you asked after catching them doing something you weren't expecting is different than providing because you asked and they chose to do so.

Let's not think that Apple would have provided when asked if this whole battery/CPU affair had never happened.

There are some who post just to increase their post numbers here.

Still good that Apple gave us a way of checking our battery.

For some knowing will cause them more stress.

As long as it is still in Beta testing, we as apple user are to worry, but let's just hope for the best outcome

Any word on if this does a better job with the GPS issues that seemed to start after the last update?

Apple took away battery statistics (that used to be available) starting in iOS 10 so that 3rd party battery apps no longer could access it (coconutBattery, Battery life).

Then the throttling fiasco blew up and they finally gave us a crumb back. Still there's no access to cycle count, battery temperature and wear level with 3rd party apps.
Hardly something to be pleased about.

Heard 11.3 was messing up some screens on the iphone not allowing the touch.
Anyone heard of this?
