iOS 11 has been an absolute disaster for the usability of the AirPods for me. They used to connect right away and switch between devices right away. Now it takes an act of god to get these things to switch from iPhone to iPad Pro or vice versa. Good grief....

Others have noticed the same thing. Hopefully an update rectifies that in the future. Otherwise, just try a re-pair if possible.

I just got the AirPods and before I updated to High Sierra, they switched pretty flawlessly. After the update it's the same thing, 1 out of 10 times it might connect. It's usually just dead. I hope this isn't how it works or I'm sending them back. They paired beautifully up until then! Let's hope they have a fix soon.

Same experience between using AirPods iPhone and Apple Watch. Sometimes they don’t transfer and won’t play either device. Not great if you’re away from the case and can’t reconnect.
